Itinerary

Arrive at any time. In the evening, participate in a welcome meeting followed by an orientation stroll around the vicinity of Beijing near the hotel. There is an optional group dinner at a nearby restaurant afterward.

Explore the expansive Tiananmen Square and the renowned Forbidden City. Use your leisure time to check out the Hutongs (historic narrow streets and lanes) or visit the Temple of Heaven, Drum and Bell Tower, Lama Temple, or the Summer Palace.

Dong Fang Hotel Beijing Due to post-pandemic restrictions in China, the maximum daily visitor capacity at the Forbidden City has been reduced from 80,000 to 30,000. This significant drop in daily tickets has affected both individual visitors and groups, particularly during the summer season. Our local team is dedicated to securing tickets for each group, but if we cannot obtain tickets for the Forbidden City, we will visit the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven, which feature similar architectural significance.

Travel north towards the Great Wall, one of China's most renowned attractions. Enjoy the majority of the day exploring and capturing photos while soaking in the atmosphere. In the afternoon, return to Beijing and board an overnight train to Xi'an.

Spend the rest of the day exploring the city at your leisure, with the option to visit the Ancient City Wall or cycle along it.

Conclude the walk at Tianfu Square, located in the heart of Chengdu, before heading back to your hotel and considering an optional group dinner that evening.

Travel from Chengdu to Leshan in a private vehicle this morning. After arriving, the group will have free time for lunch before visiting the Giant Buddha. The construction of this monumental statue began in 713 and was completed in 803, taking over 90 years and the efforts of thousands of workers. Afterward, drive to the base of Mt. E'mei, located southwest of the Sichuan Basin, and continue to the monastery.

Take a shuttle bus to the Wannian Monastery Parking lot to begin today's hike. Walk to Qingyin Ge, Guangfo Monastery, Fu Hu Monastery, Shengshui Ge, Chun Yang Dian, and Lei Yin Monastery. End at the WuXianGang Parking lot, where the group can take the shuttle back to Baoguo Monastery or continue hiking to Fuhu Nunnery and return to Baoguo Monastery on foot. There will be free time before an optional group dinner in the evening.
