6-Day Safari Adventures in Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Arrive at any time. Your journey begins this evening. Feel free to explore on your own beforehand, but be sure to return in time for the welcome meeting with your group. Check the hotel’s welcome note for the exact meeting time.

After breakfast, the group will journey to Tarangire National Park—a hidden gem famous for its massive elephant herds, majestic ancient baobab trees, and a spectacular dry-season wildlife migration. Animals naturally gather around the life-giving Tarangire River flowing through the park. You will dive right into an exciting safari drive upon arrival, pause for an unforgettable picnic lunch surrounded by nature, and finish the day with a scenic drive to Karatu for a relaxing evening.

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Karatu. Sleep in and unwind at the hotel, or choose to join an optional morning safari in Lake Manyara National Park. In the afternoon, visit a local farm for a coffee experience, where you’ll learn how beans are grown, harvested, sorted, and roasted—often with a chance to take part in the process yourself. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner.

Start early as you travel to the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater for a scenic game drive. This vast volcanic caldera—one of the largest intact in the world—forms a unique, self-contained ecosystem that supports an exceptional density of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before continuing on toward Serengeti National Park. Enter via the Naabi Hill Gate and take in a wildlife-viewing drive along the way to your tented camp, where you can unwind beneath the stars at day’s end. (B/L/D)

Wake early for a full-day safari across the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Set out in search of the “Big Five” as the park comes alive in the soft morning light. Pause for a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your wildlife drive, taking in the endless grasslands, scattered acacia trees, and ever-changing scenes of animals moving across one of Africa’s greatest safari landscapes. (B/L/D) Please note: If you have pre-booked this experience, the balloon flight takes place in the morning and you will miss the group’s early safari drive, though you will be rewarded with a unique aerial perspective. If not yet booked, you may add it during checkout or arrange it through your agent.

Enjoy breakfast at camp as the morning sounds of Serengeti National Park come to life, before setting off on your journey back to Arusha. En route, stop in Mto wa Mbu for lunch, offering a chance to experience local hospitality and cuisine. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon, where your tour concludes. Please ensure any onward travel is scheduled no earlier than 9:00 PM. (B/L)
