With a longer drive ahead, it’s the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers, swap travel stories, and admire the ever-changing scenery — from the dry, open landscapes of central-eastern Botswana to the lush bushveld around the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. Later, arrive at your campsite inside this community-run conservation area, where you’ll set up camp, gather around the fire, and spend the night under a sky full of stars. (B)

If you’re up for a challenge, hike to Hang Mua Peak and be rewarded with incredible panoramic views over the surrounding landscape. Feeling adventurous? Hop into a small boat and cruise through the Trang An Grottoes, where hidden caves and peaceful waterways can only be accessed by water. Prefer to take it easy? Relax at the hostel and catch up on your social feeds instead. Whatever you decide, don’t forget to pack your bags before heading to the station for tonight’s overnight sleeper train — all aboard!

Get ready to immerse yourself in local culture as the day begins at the lively Dong Hoi Fish Market, a bustling hub filled with vendors offering an impressive selection of fresh seafood. Take a break for breakfast and savour a classic Vietnamese Banh Mi, served on a soft French baguette and reflecting the country's rich culinary heritage. Then, hop on a bike and cycle through the stunning countryside, enjoying the region’s natural beauty and rural charm. Later, head to your hostel in Phong Nha to relax after a full day of exploration and share your favourite moments with the group.

Enjoy a full free day in Phong Nha, a true paradise for adventure seekers. Looking for an unforgettable experience? Take the opportunity to explore the region’s incredible cave systems, including some of the largest and most spectacular caves in the world. Be sure to bring a waterproof camera or phone case — the stunning scenery is perfect for capturing memorable photos. Prefer to stay above ground? Your tour leader can recommend a variety of hiking and cycling adventures through the area’s breathtaking wilderness. As the day winds down, relax and celebrate with the option to join your fellow travellers for an evening bar crawl and enjoy Phong Nha’s lively social atmosphere.

Venture beneath the surface and discover the historic Vinh Moc Tunnels, an impressive underground shelter built by villagers during the Vietnam War. Offering a quieter alternative to the well-known Cu Chi Tunnels, the site provides a fascinating insight into local resilience and history. Afterwards, head to Hue and spend the afternoon however you wish. Explore the city by motorbike, uncover its rich heritage at the Imperial Citadel and royal tombs, or simply relax at the hostel or a riverside café and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.

Get ready for an unforgettable day as you climb aboard an open-top jeep and set off on an exciting journey across the legendary Hai Van Pass. Your first stop is the fascinating An Bang Cemetery, often referred to as the “City of Ghosts” for its elaborate and colourful tombs. Afterwards, cool off with a refreshing swim at the beautiful Lang Co Beach and enjoy a traditional local lunch by the sea. The adventure continues with spectacular photo opportunities overlooking Da Nang Bay, a visit to an abandoned French fort, and a stop at the scenic Marble Mountain Pagoda. As the day draws to a close, arrive in the charming town of Hoi An, where a stroll through the historic Old Town ends perfectly at a lively riverside bar.
