Travel to Kandy, stopping at a spice plantation along the way to learn about Sri Lanka’s renowned spices and their traditional uses. Enjoy lunch at a local craft shop and café before continuing to Kandy. Later, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, one of the country’s most important cultural and religious landmarks.

Travel into the heart of Sri Lanka’s highlands, stopping in Nuwara Eliya to enjoy its unique atmosphere and scenic surroundings. Continue on to the Ella area, renowned for its breathtaking valleys, tea-covered hills, and tranquil countryside, where a relaxing two-night stay awaits at an organic farm and guest house.

Begin the day with a guided tour of the tea plantation, where you’ll learn about the cultivation and production of one of Sri Lanka’s most famous exports, followed by a tea tasting experience. Afterwards, enjoy free time to take in the spectacular surroundings, with the option to hike to Ella Rock or visit the town of Ella by tuk tuk. In the evening, take part in a cooking demonstration showcasing traditional Sri Lankan home-style dishes, and savour the rich blend of sweet and savoury flavours that define the local cuisine.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before leaving Amba Estate and continuing your journey to Udawalawe National Park. In the afternoon, embark on a wildlife safari and discover the rich biodiversity of one of Sri Lanka’s most renowned national parks.
